Now that the Celebration is Over

Now that the celebration is over,

Forget not the workers who are not celebrated.

The men and women who toil night and day, unrecognized, unseen.

They are the people that make life conducive.

Government workers you know.

The civil servants who are always visible.

Advocating for a better working condition

Until governments can resist them no more.

How about the labourers whose voice you hear not

Whose protests hardly passes through the walls?

Many work under hazardous conditions

With less pay than they deserve.

These people ought to be celebrated.

And given the honour due to them.
